BECOME A FOSTER CARER
Fostering is an important role in rescue work and is a vital part in the rehabilitation of our dogs. We are always desperate for foster carers but we ask anyone considering becoming a foster carer to have thought it through carefully before applying.
Once you have been approved to foster we will discuss the type and size of dog that you would be happy to have in your home. We will not put a dog with you that we feel is beyond your capabilities. Once we have a dog that we think would be a match we will discuss this with you. However, please be aware that once a dog is in foster with you, should you need us to move the dog for any reason we will need a reasonable amount of time to find another suitable foster home.
You do not need any equipment as we will provide everything you need. All dogs will come with a collar complete with HH tag, harness, lead, bed, bowls, toys and a seat belt clip and crate if required.
We will also supply a suitable dog food.
All we ask is that you provide them with a warm loving home, lots of patience and training.
All Hairy Hounz dogs will be registered at our vets. All vet expenses are completely covered by the charity whilst in for care.
