About Us | Hairy Hounz Charity

Hairy Hounz is a registered charity based in Southampton which was founded in 2015. We do not have kennel facilities so all our dogs are placed in loving foster homes whilst they are assessed, undergo and receive any necessary medical treatment and training. Once our dogs are ready to find their forever home we begin the search for them.

We fully evaluate every application regardless of age, disability or circumstances (including those living in flats, etc.). The most important thing to us is that we find that perfect match (if the dog loves you then he/she has found their forever home).

Everyone that is part of the charity is a volunteer. No one receives any renumeration; they give their time and homes for free and we think the world of all our foster carers and volunteers without whom this would not happen.
